AmeriCorps Urban Safety Project

The AmeriCorps urban safety project has helped Detroit residents come together to form block clubs and collectively tackle vacant property issues. Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation

The Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation is a non-profit community-based organization working to preserve and improve the Grandmont Rosedale Neighborhoods of northwest Detroit.  As part of this strategy, GRDC purchases, rehabilitates and sells vacant homes. These neighborhood improvements are one method to preserve local property values and increase community safety.
