Basic Info about Tax Foreclosure

Tax foreclosure – when a home is lost for failure to pay property taxes – has quadrupled between 2007 and 2010 in Michigan and shows no sign of slowing down. Under Public Act 23 of 1999, a Michigan property owner has 25 months to pay their property taxes before they lose their home to the government.
